Giving Back to the Community - Hafod Project
Clutter builds up faster than we often realise - old furniture, broken appliances, forgotten toys, and piles of unused items can take over garages, attics, and spare rooms. The build up of clutter can be more than just an eyesore - it can impact wellbeing, safety and functionality.
Why Decluttering Matters
Decluttering isn't just about aesthetics. Studies show that a tidy home reduces stress, improves sleep, and boosts productivity. For families, creating a more organised environment means safer spaces for children to play, and for the elderly, it reduces trip hazards and makes mobility easier.
Trying to get rid of large volumes of waste using regular household bins just isn't practical. Especially bulky items that some local councils charge to collect and dispose of.
Environmentally Responsible Waste Disposal
That's why we wanted to support residents at our Hafod project.
As part of our Social Value Pledge, LivGreen organised the placement of several skips throughout the Hafod residential area in Wales. This initiative allowed residents to responsibly dispose of bulky items, helping to keep their homes and community clean and tidy.
"Thanks to the support from LivGreen, our customers in Gabalfa were able to make use of skips that were provided on the estate. The response was very positive and proved to be a huge success, helping everyone clear out clutter, dispose of bulky waste responsibly, and keep our communities clean and tidy. A big thank you also to our customers who showed great teamwork on the day!”

THEY ARE FULL ALREADY!
When the first set of skips arrived at the end of May, it was all systems go. The team got together with the residents, and within an hour, they were full!
“I would like to pass on my thanks for the organisation of this, as it was a brilliant help and it really helped residents."
