Rolfe is a Senior Retrofit Consultant at LivGreen, a specialist decarbonisation contractor for social and private landlords. With over 10 years of experience in the hospitality design and manufacturing industry where Rolfe shaped and delivered carbon reduction strategies on an international level. Rolfe is passionate about helping landlords achieve energy efficiency and net zero carbon emissions across their housing portfolio, delivering high-quality and cost-effective solutions and bring long term strategic thinking down to short terms plans to deliver key client objectives.
Rory Hughes - National Housing Federation
Policy Officer
Rory Hughes is a Policy Officer at the National Housing Federation who specialises in home retrofit and heat decarbonisation.
Rory will discuss the experience of housing associations with the SHDF to date, the future of the fund and what other policy change is needed to ensure housing associations can continue to be at the forefront of tackling the climate crisis.
Anees Mank - Greater Manchester Combined Authority
Programme and Policy Lead – Retrofit
Anees is a Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner with over 25 years’ experience in Housing and Regeneration, Energy Efficiency, and Fuel Poverty.
He has been leading the delivery of over £100m of funding through the Green Homes Grant Local Authority Delivery Scheme (GHG LAD), Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF), Energy Company Obligation (ECO4), Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS), Local Authority Flexible Eligibility Scheme (LA Flex), and Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) across Greater Manchester.
He is also involved in negotiating the inclusion of some of this retrofit funding in a Single Settlement under Greater Manchester’s Trailblazer Devolution Deal.
Kate Watson- Principle Consultant
Turner and Townsend
Kate is a Principal Consultant in the Sustainability Team at Turner & Townsend. Kate is a workstream lead on the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero funded Technical Assistance Facility (RISE), heading up a team of technical consultants who provide 1:1 bespoke advice to local authorities and housing providers keen to benefit from government funding to support their compliance with EPC C targets and net zero ambitions. Kate also leads our Social Housing ESG team who have provided baselining and year on year data analysis to support improvements against targets. Kate has 15 years’ experience in the retrofit at scale sector, having previously delivered government funded retrofit schemes for local authorities and social housing providers, across all three tenures
