We’re proud to announce that we have been named a finalist for Retrofit Partnership of the Year – Projects & Programmes at the Retrofit Academy Awards.
The Retrofit Academy Awards are now in their fourth year and are dedicated to recognising outstanding achievements across the UK retrofit sector. The awards celebrate individuals, partnerships, and projects that are driving innovation, supporting sustainability, and delivering meaningful benefits for communities.
Being shortlisted is a significant achievement and reflects the strength of our partnership with Stonewater, built on a shared ambition to improve the quality, comfort, and energy efficiency of homes while supporting residents on the journey to low-carbon living.
Our submission celebrates the strong partnership between LivGreen Retrofit Specialists and Stonewater, formed to deliver high-quality, resident-focused retrofit at scale. Built on shared values of quality, integrity, sustainability, and resident care, the partnership was established to support Stonewater’s ambitious decarbonisation plans and bring homes up to the Decent Homes Standard through SHDF Wave 2.1.
Through a £5 million investment, LivGreen delivered retrofit works to 320 homes within Stonewater’s wider programme of 827 properties. By combining fabric-first measures with low-carbon technologies, the programme achieved measurable outcomes including average EPC uplifts of two bands, carbon reductions of 1.5–2 tonnes per property, energy bill savings of up to 40%, and 90% resident satisfaction.
The submission highlights how clear communication, dedicated resident engagement, innovative problem-solving, and robust performance monitoring enabled the partnership to overcome challenges and deliver meaningful environmental and social impact, demonstrating best practice in collaborative retrofit delivery.
At a time when sustainable growth, energy efficiency, and carbon reduction are more important than ever, the retrofit sector plays a critical role in transforming existing housing stock. High-quality retrofit not only reduces energy use and emissions but also helps create warmer, healthier homes and more resilient communities.
Our work with Stonewater demonstrates what can be achieved when strong collaboration is combined with clear objectives and a resident-focused approach. Together, we have delivered retrofit programmes that prioritise quality, performance, and long-term value ensuring homes are fit for the future while minimising disruption for residents.
The Retrofit Academy Awards are about more than recognition. They inspire industry leaders, housing providers, and decision-makers to continue raising standards and embedding best practice across retrofit programmes nationwide.
To be recognised as a finalist among so many forward-thinking organisations is a testament to the dedication of everyone involved in this partnership.
We look forward to celebrating the achievements of the entire sector at the awards ceremony.
